Less formal than arbitration, mediation is a process where the parties attempt to reach a mutually agreed upon resolution to the dispute, with the assistance of a mediator.
Mediation / Arbitration
In med/arb, the parties begin with mediation. If they are unable to reach a resolution, the process moves to a formal arbitration hearing and decision.
